Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. You can include as little or as much detail as you’d like.
Jasmine Hicks founded Ellis Productions & Event Management in Houston, TX. Holding a B.S. in Sports Administration & Marketing, Jasmine began her career in the corporate sector serving in roles as Customer Service Manager, Entertainment Sales Manager, and Event Coordinator. Several years into her corporate career and after a traumatic pregnancy with her son, she decided to go into business for herself, utilizing all that she learned from previous employers and mentors. Jasmine has been responsible for producing unique and captivating events, servicing many clients with varied desires and needs. She focuses on business development by identifying the most cutting-edge technologies and designs to present to clients. Jasmine is an advocate for implementing new methods and ideas to give all clients an authentic experience continuously surpassing client expectations by transforming visions into sophisticated events.
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
The plan is to continue to grow the business and move into spaces where my love of event planning merges with my love of serving the Special Needs community. I have a few major projects in the works, so stay tuned.
I want to hear what makes you proud of your business. What’s your biggest accomplishment to date?
Being able to operate in my gift and service my clients in the name of my son (Ellis is his middle name) brings me great joy. He is my constant motivator and seeing my business flourish and thrive is a reminder of his growth and development as well.
